1. Project Description

Job Portal System is a web-based application that is developed using PHP and MySQL. the objective of Job Portal System is to develop a web based application using which jobseeker can search for job and apply for job. It provides the facility of searching for jobs and apply for the same. In this system, employers can post their vacancies and job seeker can apply for the job. Using this system job seekers can also manage their resumes.

2. REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS

2.1 Functional Requirements

In this section, we will briefly discuss the different functional requirements of different users.

2.1.1 Super Admin

1. Manage Job Seeker and Employer Profiles

2. Add New Services, Related to Employers or Job Seekers 

3. Send Message to Employer and Jobseeker for Subscription etc 

4. Provide Roles and Authentication to Users 

5. Ability to change the look and feel of your site by changing the template 

6. Most Recent Jobs to be displayed on home page 

7. Search jobs based on keywords, categories, locations etc 

8. Create / Edit / Save as many icon sets as you like 

9. Location management console to add/edit/remove locations for which jobs can be posted 

10. Manage premium employers 

11. Admin can Add/Edit/Delete/Approve/Disapprove any job 

12. Private labelled and fully integrated with your existing website’s look and feel.

13. Search Job seekers and Employers on the basis of Keyword, name, Email-address, 

Country, etc

14. Manage Featured Employers Showcase. 

2.1.2 Customer Admin

1. Ability to Search resumes by keywords, job category, days since posted. 

2. Post jobs with detailed job description (job title, company name, company url, location, 

salary, job type, work type, description, required skills...) 

3. Ability to create and edit a company profile. 

4. Ability to add a Company Logo. 

5. Employer Registration

6. Information on the number of vacancy viewings and applications 

7. Register and sign-up online for Memberships, Job packages, job postings or resume 

database access.

8. Option of including company profile and logo. 

9. Update profile at any time. 

10. View Submitted Job Seeker CV 

11. Download CV or application submitted by jobseekers.

8. Job seeker sets ’privacy level’ to control how much information is visible to employers 

through resume searches. 

9. Search jobs by location, qualification, categories, company, location, experience and 

keywords. 

10. Hide contact information. 

11. Add multiple lists of qualifications and experience. 

12. Ability to add and submit Photos to profile. 

13. Ability to add Cover Letter when applying for a job. 

14. Add, Edit, Activate or Delete Job Search Agent.

1. Secure access of confidential data (user’s details). SSL can be used.
